How can we work out our difficulties in the United States, with two completely different worlds, actually working against each other? The working people know where their money is coming from. We know we have to work for a living in order to make ends meet.   …

My dear friends are not in a Harley group, as my husband and I are, at home. Therefore, their, being fine, upstanding citizens, I wondered how they would take my request to go to the Harley dealership in their area.

I am no economist, but it seems obvious that the wealthy in this country have not used their spare cash, saved by the Bush tax cuts, to help our country. I say give the tax cuts and money to those who will spend it in the United States.

I expect this question is relative to your current age. I laughed when my son said he had a distressed reaction to turning 36. I laughed because I am the mother of four, the grandmother of 13, and the great-grandmother of one and one on the way.

The Republicans are still so mad about their loss of power to the Obama administration, that they actually think they have won the midterm elections. They are so determined to run the United States their way, that they will impede any progress at all for the American people.

The key word is People. My idea is that in the United States, all people are created equal, under the law. Whether you agree or disagree with the concept of being gay, these folks have every right to be treated with respect and dignity.

Whether you live in an apartment, a condo, in the city, the burbs or the country, what does that place mean to you? Many people say a house should be a home. It seems a home is a place where we can relax, with our family or by our ourselves.

Some will think that I am just trying to start an argument. That is not my goal. I am interested in "getting smarter." I can only do that if I really know what you think is the biggest issue or issues with President Obama's job as the President of the United States.

What do you want for our country? Do you want tax breaks for the wealthy to continue? Do you want the president to be disrespected? Do you want Social Security to be privatized? Do you want health care reform repealed? Do you want racism to continue?

The article was not mine, but the comment followed mine, so I wasn't sure if they meant my statement of my opinion, or the total article. Anyway about it, I don't understand why someone would call another person's opinion stupid.

I am amazed everyday as I read and hear the political news of the day. The opinions and ideas of the people of the United States are so diverse, there seems no coming together. Are the Midterm elections going separate our country more?

Dawnypawny, my family is honored by your frienship. We find your articles interesting, thoughtful and provacative. You bring out the best in everyone across myriad opinion groups. You beg out the best in all of us. Can I please assist you in running for a US Congressional office? (Sorry, but it's what I do.)

Dawnypawny, I didn't want to hijack the discussion on Christianity/Atheist...but I do wish to respond to your statement..."I wonder where the spirits of those we love "go" when they are not here anymore. I "believe" the spirit is eternal and is available to us when we need it/as we need it. At time it is little comfort when my heart aches specially. At other times usually when I least expect it or don't think I need it I feel a rush of the most delicious warmth around my heart and a calmness I can't describe...those I have come to identify as the love of those who have gone before me.
Many blessings.— ettenna
