It seems that everybody disagrees with everybody, especially about President Obama. I often wonder why there is so much complaining and not enough encouragement.
This is really a difficult time in the United States for many people. Where is the hope and encouragement? It seems all are about their own pessimism.
We have odd people gaining recognition for spreading their negative attitudes about the U.S. There are some of us that do not really buy into to all of this. I call them odd people, because they had little status before they began to make huge issues of the Obama presidency.
It time to change our society from being a me, me, me, society. We need to encourage and expel hope for each other, rather than seeing everything as negative and hopeless. The word compassion is rarely used in these discussions. It generally is about the negative effects of the times.
I am not blind to the difficulties. This mess has been building for many years, not just the last six months. I do not see the gain from constantly predicting failure and negativity.
How about we spend some time encouraging each other while giving some hope to the future. This is time when we need to be there for each other, helping and spreading the best news of the day. Instead, many pounce on the worst news of the day, and call it "the way it is."
Having opinions and disagreement is good discussion. But at the end of the bad news, come up with positive way to correct it. That would be becoming involved in change.
If you are so disgruntled about the state of things, how about seeking a way to resolve our difficulties. How about taking advantage of the opportunity to constructively to review our disappointments. E-mail your congress people and your president with actual ideas to improve the situation.
There is lots of griping and complaining and name calling in contrasting opinions. Can you change that to positive suggestions to help to make our country strong. Our government is only as transparent as we require it to be.
Open your minds and listen to other opinions with a thinking mind. Don't just spew and call names, if your are disagreed with. Dictating ideas rarely becomes a real discussion. It just becomes a sermon about how right your are. Then every one stops listening, because they know you are not open to discussion.
Does anyone really want President Obama and our current congress to fail to be able to bring a reasonable economy back to the people of the United States? If you do, it does not even make sense.
Spending your time on minor issues or petty complaints that do not encourage progress is a waste of my time and yours. Do Something Positive!
